  • Apple stock hammered for third consecutive market day, falls on news of more tariffs

Fair-weather investors certainly frighten easily.  I wonder if most of Apple's investors buy shares on margin and that's why they're desperate to dump their shares.  I'm not concerned as long as Apple is buying back plenty of shares on the cheap.  I'm eagerly waiting for the number of outstanding shares to fall below 15B.  I've owned my shares for over 20 years, and I'm not selling.  I'll ride this downturn as I did all the previous downturns, and I expect Apple to recover at some point.  I'm retired, and I don't live paycheck to paycheck.  My passive income isn't being affected by this tariff panic.  Hopefully, things will calm down later this year.  Many people were saying Warren Buffett was a fool for dumping a large chunk of his Apple stock, but Berkshire Hathaway now has plenty of cash to buy any stocks they choose.  Tim Cook has plenty of work to do to restructure the Apple supply chain.  I wish him the best of luck.  Wall Street may have given up on Apple, but I haven't.  I'm not smart enough to understand all of this tariff stuff, but I hope Apple is able to find ways to lessen the damage.

  • Apple shares hammered after Trump tariff announcement

I just hope Apple is repurchasing shares while the stock is down.  I'm not worried about the share price being down, because I expect it to recover later in the year.  I can accept investors being frightened and selling Apple.  I know Apple has some very weak-kneed investors, and I hope they leave Apple and never return.  Fair weather investors are rather undependable.

  • Folding iPhone will probably cost more than the Mac Studio

Foldable smartphones aren't selling that well, and they're still somewhat fragile.  Some people are always asking for an Apple foldable smartphone but I'm sure they're very few like those who people who kept asking for mini smartphones.  There weren't many buyers of mini smartphones, so they were discontinued.  It's up to Apple to design and sell foldable smartphones, but if they don't sell well, Wall Street is going to complain about Apple wasting money.  I don't want a foldable smartphone because I prefer having a tough slab of a smartphone as a reliable daily driver.  If it does cost $2000, I doubt many people will buy one, and it will become another Apple Vision Pro-type product.  The vocal pundits will label it a flop.

  • Apple will try to right the Apple Intelligence Siri ship, but don't expect firings

Outsiders don't know what's going on internally at Apple.  Why would outsiders want people fired when they don't know the cause of the delays?  That's so selfish and inconsiderate.  Employees may be working very hard to sort things out and if they run into problems, they shouldn't be fired for that.  I don't think Apple should attempt to rush incomplete products to consumers.  If Apple made a mistake in thinking they could finish a product on time, I suppose it can't be helped.  I'm not going to accuse Apple of scamming consumers, as I don't know that for certain.  I'm not concerned or angry because I'm not buying Apple products for A.I. features.  I'm mainly interested in the hardware quality.  I'm happy using Apple products, and I think Apple does a lot more good than bad.  That's just my opinion as an Apple computer owner since the Mac 128.  In this tough economy, I sure don't want employees fired, especially if they can't find replacement jobs.

  • Calls for Tim Cook's resignation over Apple Intelligence miss that he has made Apple what ...

I'm quite happy with Apple's latest hardware announcements.  The latest MacBooks, the Mac mini, the Mac Studio, etc. seem to be fine products and rivaling the best consumer products in the industry.  I'm not interested in A.I., so I'm not in any hurry to see it take over.  In my opinion, A.I. is highly overrated.  I don't want Cook to resign or to be fired, as I don't know if there is someone better to take his place.  I'm a 20-year Apple shareholder, and I'm very satisfied with Apple's financial performance.  Every company goes through problems, so I'm not concerned about it, as I believe Apple will do its best to figure things out.  I couldn't do any better, as I don't have the ability to run any profitable company.  I can only depend on Apple internally solving whatever problems they have.  I think some people are too impatient or greedy and don't appreciate all the good Tim Cook has done for Apple over the years.  These people always boasting about how they could do better than Tim Cook, and I doubt they could run a company as well as he has.  I'm living a very comfortable life since owning Apple stock over the years.  I have nothing to complain about.  I enjoy using my current Apple products and will likely buy a new MacBook Pro this year, even if it doesn't have any A.I. features.
