The Washington Post had a story a couple of days ago about a daughter of Dubai's ruthless ruler, who was desperately trying to get away from her dad. Left behind her phone and everything, but apparently some of her contacts also got surveilled via NSO and she was hauled kicking and screaming from her escape boat. Her elder sister had disappeared years earlier after being captured during an escape attempt. They sure must have been dangerous criminals.

Sounds like Gassee is still bitter that Apple didn't want to pay him $275 million for BeOS and opted to give Steve much more for NeXT instead..

That sounds like a typically informative Windows error message.

Never should have been a high-speed chase. First, everybody knows they're dangerous, which is why they're against department policy in many cities. And second, it's being tracked. That's the whole point of the story. They could have kept a discreet distance until it parked. The Airtag battery would have lasted and they couldn't have lost track of the car. Better yet, you never know what kind of goodies those thieves might have led them to if you had just followed them. Maybe a chop shop. There was no need to catch them immediately.

What I've noticed on other sites is that when Apple does something first, people generally whine that they're stupid and taking away options. When another company does it first, then it's genuine innovation and Apple is too slow and behind the times.

When did the terms "charger" and "cable" become interchangeable? To me, the charger was always the part that plugged into the wall and provided a USB jack.
